Our Story:
The Evolution of IT PODS
IT PODS originated from the vision of seasoned professionals who spent over 75 years collectively excelling in large corporations. Recognizing the growing complexities of the digital age and a significant gap in the market, the need for a company that not only delivered exceptional digital solutions but also fostered a collaborative and appreciative work environment became clear. Driven by this vision, the senior founders of CloudKinesys—Michael Zeitlin, Chris Bentz, and Andy Leach—met while working in the Cloud and Professional Services group of Ericsson, a multinational networking and telecommunications company. While collaborating on various cloud and virtualization projects, they realized they enjoyed working together and had a complementary set of high-demand skills. When Ericsson broadly shut down their Atlanta operation, they seized the opportunity to combine their talents, and CloudKinesys was born in 2017.

The Transition to IT PODS: A New Chapter
As CloudKinesys grew, the founders quickly added David Vinnenberg and Donald Baugh to the team, expanding both the development and field support expertise. Recognizing the evolving demands of the market, the next step was to rebrand and broaden the scope of services. Thus, IT PODS was born, retaining the core values and expertise of CloudKinesys while embracing a broader mission: empowering mission-critical enterprises with elite digital teams known as ‘pods.’ These teams consist of top-tier experts in Planning, Operations, Development, and Support, working together to deliver innovative solutions and accelerate business success.

Establishing a new company in a highly competitive market required overcoming obstacles such as rapidly evolving technologies and intricate client demands. Ericsson,a multinational telecommunications innovator, engaged itPODS to support the Ericsson team in Switzerland at one of their top cloud customers, Swisscom. itPODS' background with Ericsson's NFVi as well as experience with cloud and platform automation enabled the team to provide industry-leading solutions to Swisscom, which catapulted their productivity. The platform automation has significantly reduced the effort required to launch new systems while at the same time reducing costs and improving platform performance.
